CELEBRATIONS!
  • Spring Break!  We all deserved a break!
  • Amanda Gary and family welcomed Lennox on 4/15 @ 8:38pm. He weighed 7lbs even and is 20 inches long. They are both doing well!
  • Megan Hill for helping support the sub while Sherry Pollock was out.  
  • Robin Fox and the Kindergarten Team for supporting Star Davis’ class while Star has been out.
  • Olivia Buneman, Lynn Pierce and the first grade team for supporting Maggie Lohr’s class while she has been out.
  • Heather Burton for sharing her expertise this past Friday about supporting students with autism.  
  • Fifth grade team’s flexibility during the unexpected fire alarm.

PRIDE Rotations start tomorrow

PRIDE
Every week on the daily message, we will focus on one letter of our PRIDE expectations. It will be important for teachers to discuss what this looks like in your classroom. We will start with P - Practice Self-Control.

Letterland Day (K-2 update)-
Next week is Letterland Day on April 27th from 10-4!   The county would love your enthusiasm and support to make the event a huge success (monitoring and running the activities).  You are also welcome to dress up in your favorite Letterland character! Sign-up here.

Please add the following to your announcements for parents:  
Letterland Day is Saturday, April 27th from 10:00-4:00.  This fun day is interactive and engaging for all students.  For more information click here- English and Spanish flyers.

K-2 Updates
End of the Year Assessments will begin in a few weeks.
  • Math EOY assessment through the state will arrive in May.  The data will need to be entered into OASIS by the last day of school. 
  • NKT-  May 14-28th  (any student that did not meet the end of the year expectation will need to be assessed.)  Alexandria will compile the list of names for you.  
  • Mclass Window-  May 13th- May 31st.  Please work with your team and/or Christine/Alexandria to determine how to switch students to deliver the assessment.   

3-5 Updates
EOG Information
Parking on Fairview-   
Starting on April 1st,  there will be NO parking on Fairview Rd. from 3:30 - 4:00pm. This an effort to decrease congestion on Fairview road during Afternoon Carpool. There are signs posted so it is a ticketable offense. Please be aware that if you do park on Fairview, you will need to move your car prior to 3:00pm.  Otherwise you will be towed or ticketed!

Makerspace:
The Makerspace and it's materials are being used on a daily basis by different classes and electives - so awesome! New items - including craft materials and electronics (circuits, simple machines, etc.) - are being added over the next couple weeks. In order to keep the space and materials manageable, help is needed. If you use, have used, or plan to use (or are thinking about using) the Makerspace, please sign up to manage it for a week. What does managing the Makerspace entail? Simply stopping by for 5 minutes 3 - 4 times during the week to tidy, restock, etc. Please sign up at the Makerspace entrance. Also, please consider including the following info in your weekly communications with families:

Final Observations
Happy April! It is that time of year for final observations.  Travis or Mallory will be coming to your classroom soon :)
